Progress Achieved
Discussions included the topics listed below. Progress could be achieved towards the definition of EnergyBus specifications. Decisions will be made during the following member assemblies.
System Integration
- How to make sure that all kinds of systems can be handeled with optimal efficiency and maximum safety
- Electric LEV components
- Market requirements
- Specific applications (possible combination of components and application characteristics)
- Presentation of existing drive systems based on CAN
- Energy transmission requirements and rules
- Safety requirements
- Consequences to the hardware requirements
- Consequences to the software requirements
EnergyBus Components
- Definition different components
- Minimum requirements for EnergyBus compatible components
- Additional functions possible for Energybus components
Safety
- The safety standart of EnergyBus needs to be as high as possible
- Steps necessary to achieve this goal.
Public Infustructure
- How can public infrastructure for electric mobility and implementation of EnergyBus be established
- Comparison of current approaches
- Requirements to the charging facility and the EnergyBus system design
Human Interface
- Different sensors and displays as well as service interfaces
- Which components are available on the market today, which ones are interesting for the future, how can we make sure that future developments will also be compatible
- Service stations and bike dealers will be able to cope with the main errors or component defects by themselves thanks to a service computer, which is compatible to any LEV
Feedback Remarks of Participants
- Market growth will slow down without an appropriate standard and infrastructure
- A good lesson learned from joint brain storming and discussion
- Lets put our ideas into reality (and try some first practical connecting on the weekend)
- EnergyBus will solve our major problems
- EnergyBus will enhance market growth
- The meeting provided a great opportunity to make contacts and get important information
- Very productive and good discussion culture with interesting new contacts
- We should have the next big meeting in January
- We start developing something now – we can’t wait until everybody sees the need for EnergyBus
New Website Introduced
The new structure, layout and content of EnergyBus.org was presented to the participants. It is designed as a platform that provides basic knowledge on EnergyBus and the opportunity to exchange information and discuss technical topics.
Member Assembly
Saturday, November 22, 2008
During the Member Assembly three new members joined EnergyBus organization: Electragil GmbH of Switzerland and the two German companies Rosenberger Hochfrequenztechnik GmbH & Co.KG and Digalog GmbH.
