In the context of the electric scooter promotion program by the Taiwan government, the EnergyBus workshop focused on the requirements that electric scooters dictate for the standard.

The workshop was open to members, invited guests, and participants of LEV Conference, which was held in Taipei on March 16 (English) and March 18, 2009 (Chinese). It took place at the ITRI facility in Hsinchu, Taiwan. With strong attendance of ITRI and HiTech Energy, and lively contribution by Coulomb representative Waidy Lee, the participants worked out the EnergyBus requirements for quick charging, battery swapping and conventional charging with a slow (onboard) charger for electric scooters.
