Protocol 1.0 to be introduced end of March
(Nora Manthey)

On 23 March the long awaited first draw of the final version 1.0 of the EnergyBus communication protocol will be presented to EnergyBus members in Nuremberg, Germany at the CiA headquarter. The communication protocol in its newest version 1.0 is the last step to introduce the EnergyBus connectors into the market in 2011.

Mr. Holger Zeltwanger of CiA will present the proposal of a final version of the EnergyBus protocol 1.0 in a workshop solely designed for this topic. The event takes place on 23 March from 11am - 4 pm at CiA (Can in Automation) institute and is open to EnergyBus members only. A second meeting for the last revision will take place on 12 May.
If you would like to participate, please drop an email to Mr. Johannes Dörndorfer for further informations.

The protocol is based on CAN and enables the components of the LEVs to communicate with each other. The uniform exchange of information enables the components to provide maximum performance. What makes EnergyBus special is that energy and service data can safely be transmitted through the same connector at the same time. The communication protocol in its newest version 1.0 is the last step to introduce the EnergyBus connectors into the market in 2011.
